Marina Razheva (b. 1969, USSR) is a conceptual, interdisciplinary artist based in Hungary. Her practice is grounded in the exploration of perception, transformation, ephemerality, memory, and the traces that remain after encounters between people, materials, and places.

Rather than treating the artwork as a fixed object, Razheva often works through situations, gestures, and site-specific conditions. Her interventions are frequently minimal: a temporary action, a gesture within a landscape, an alteration of how a familiar space is perceived, or an encounter that leaves no permanent physical change. The work emerges through the relationship between the intervention, the site, and the viewer’s perception.

Working across performance, land art, installation, photography, video, and objects, Razheva has developed a practice that moves between the material and the immaterial, the visible and the barely perceptible. Recurring concerns include transformation, disappearance, memory, landscape, mythology, and the passage of time. Her background in biology contributes to her attention to processes of growth, decay, change, and adaptation.

Since 1998, Razheva has realized more than 30 solo projects and participated in over 100 international exhibitions and initiatives. Her work has been presented in the context of the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Biennale of Illustration in Haifa, and the Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale, alongside international land art and video projects.

Selected projects include Golden Apples (2024–2026), HartLand (2019–2025), Golden Eggs (2002–2024), The Angle of View (2002–2025), and Wedding of the Tower and the Metro (2006). Her works are held in public collections, including the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts / NCCA, and the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts.

Razheva is co-founder of Maler’s Brigade (since 2004) and the collaborative duo R² (since 1989), developed around the methodology of Revealed Realism. She is also a member of PRO SYMPOSION in Hungary (since 2024).
